Important Summary

Centrium Limited (referred to as “JNN”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the JNN short-drama and video service. This Policy explains how we handle personal data when you use JNN websites, applications, accounts, playback, search, favourites, viewing history, transactions, security, and support features.

We process information needed to provide requested services, protect accounts and content, prevent fraud and abuse, meet legal obligations, handle disputes, and protect lawful rights. You may decline optional information or withdraw consent where applicable, although a feature may be unavailable if its necessary information is not provided.

1. Scope and Data Controller

This Policy applies to JNN services that display or link to it. A separate notice for a particular feature applies together with this Policy and controls for that feature to the extent of a lawful conflict.

The data controller, or entity with an equivalent role, is Centrium Limited. Independent third-party websites, applications, app stores, payment channels, and services are governed by their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Handle

Depending on the features you use, we may handle:

Passwords, verification codes, and access tokens are sensitive authentication information. Do not send them through ordinary support messages.

3. Sources of Information

We obtain information directly from you, automatically when you use JNN, from service providers and commercial partners where necessary to provide a requested service, and from lawful public, regulatory, law-enforcement, rights-protection, or dispute-resolution sources.

Not every source or category applies to every user.

4. Purposes and Legal Bases

We may process personal data to:

The legal basis may include performing a contract, taking pre-contract steps, consent, legal obligation, vital interests, or legitimate interests balanced against individual rights. Where consent is required, we will seek it separately.

5. Required and Optional Information

Information needed for authentication, core playback, a requested transaction, security, or legal compliance is required for the relevant function. Refusing it may make that function unavailable.

Information used for optional personalisation, marketing, advertising, or non-essential analytics may be declined or managed through available controls. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed or processing supported by another lawful basis.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, software identifiers, pixels, or similar technologies to maintain login sessions, protect against attacks, remember language and privacy choices, preserve playback and search continuity, measure performance, diagnose faults, and improve the service.

Strictly necessary technologies support essential operation and security. Where law requires consent for non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide an applicable choice before using them.

7. Sharing, Processors, and Disclosure

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

We may also disclose information where we reasonably and in good faith believe this is necessary and lawful to prevent harm, investigate wrongdoing, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, and safety. Service providers are expected to follow applicable contracts, instructions, confidentiality duties, and law.

We require service providers, third-party SDK providers, and related companies with whom JNN shares user data to comply with this Policy and applicable App Store privacy requirements, and to provide at least the same level of data protection. They may process data only for the disclosed purposes and to the extent necessary. Using a third-party service must not reduce these protections.

8. International Transfers

JNN is operated from Hong Kong, and service providers, infrastructure, rights holders, or support partners may operate in other countries or regions. Your information may therefore be transferred to and processed outside your place of residence.

Where required, we use reasonable contractual, organisational, and technical measures and obtain consent or provide additional notices for international transfers.

9. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and protect services, perform contracts, satisfy legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, and establish, exercise, or defend claims.

Retention decisions may consider the nature and sensitivity of the information, account and transaction status, security and fraud risks, content-rights protection, audit needs, legal limitation periods, and whether deletion, aggregation, or de-identification can reduce risk. Lawful transaction, security, dispute, backup, and compliance records may remain after account deletion.

10. Security and Account Responsibility

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures based on risk, including access controls, protection in transit or storage where appropriate, logging, auditing, incident management, supplier controls, data minimisation, and separation of privileges.

No internet transmission or electronic storage is absolutely secure. Protect your password, verification codes, devices, and sessions, and notify us through an official channel if you suspect unauthorised activity. We may restrict or require renewed verification for a suspicious account, device, session, or transaction.

11. Your Rights and Requests

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to ask whether we process your data; request access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent; manage marketing, cookie, or advertising choices; challenge certain solely automated decisions; and complain to a competent regulator.

We may verify identity, account control, request scope, and an agent's authority. Where law permits, we may limit or refuse a request that cannot be verified, is repetitive, excessive, fraudulent, threatens security, harms another person's rights, reveals protected confidential information, obstructs an investigation, or conflicts with lawful retention and legal claims. We will provide reasons and appeal information where required.

Email support@jiniangniang.com with the subject “Privacy Request” to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, withdraw consent, or request account closure. Describe the request and provide only the account information needed to identify it, never passwords or verification codes. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing. Deletion remains subject to the necessary retention circumstances in section 9 and applicable law.

12. Communications, Marketing, and Advertising

We may send necessary account, security, transaction, service, and legal notices. Where marketing or personalised advertising is offered, we will obtain consent or use another lawful basis when required and provide available opt-out controls.

Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages. Any future advertising, analytics, or cross-service matching function must be accompanied by notices and choices required by the actual processing and applicable law.

13. Children and Minors

When registration, age confirmation, or profile features request your birth year, we use it to determine eligibility for age-restricted content, including episode access, unlocking, and playback. This field requests the year, not the full date of birth. A registered user's birth year and related age-access status are associated with their account. If the required age cannot be confirmed, restricted content may remain unavailable. You can view or update your birth year through the available profile or age-confirmation features; privacy requests may also be sent to the contact in section 16. The retention and rights provisions in sections 9 and 11 apply to this information.

JNN is not primarily directed to children below the age at which local law permits independent consent. A parent or legal guardian should decide whether and how a minor may use the service under local law.

If we learn that a child's personal data was processed without required authorisation, we may delete, restrict, or otherwise handle it as required by law. We may verify identity and guardianship before acting on a request.

14. Third-Party Services and External Links

JNN may link to or interact with independent websites, applications, payment channels, app stores, sharing tools, or other services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when they determine how information is handled.

Information you choose to share publicly, or through an account you allow another person to use, may be accessed, copied, or redistributed by others.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in services, law, security, business operations, or partners. The current version and date will be shown on the page.

Where a change materially affects your rights or how information is handled, we will give notice and seek renewed consent where required by law. Earlier versions will be retained where legally required or reasonably practicable.

16. Contact, Complaints, and Regional Terms

The operator is Centrium Limited. For privacy questions, complaints, access, correction, deletion, or account closure requests, email support@jiniangniang.com with the subject “Privacy Request”.

You may also complain to a competent data-protection authority. Additional regional terms may apply where local law requires extra notices, rights, or choices; a valid regional term controls to the extent of a conflict.
